Auckland 19 October 2016 — Datalicious, the global big data analytics agency providing client-focused full-service marketing solutions and products, today announced the appointment of Christian Sykes as the new Managing Director for New Zealand.
Prior to joining Datalicious Christian spent ten years as Country Manager for Connexity Hitwise.
Christian Bartens, Datalicious’ founder and CEO, said Christian was a natural choice for the role. “We’re pleased to have someone with Christian’s experience in digital, who is so well known and respected in the industry. He has the intellectual rigour to help develop effective solutions for our clients, together with the drive and ambition to bring in new business to the organisation”.
Datalicious established an office in Auckland in 2014, and has Spark, Vodafone, Genesis Energy among its many clients in the country. The business, founded in Australia, now operates globally, but sees huge growth potential in New Zealand.
“We see New Zealand as part of our home base,” said Christian Bartens. “We know the country well, have an established track record and local marketers and financial officers understand the importance of data analytics to drive down costs and achieve an effective ROI. Data-driven marketing is crucial in a country where the population is small and competition is strong”.
In his new role, Christian Sykes will be developing relationships with existing clients, whilst attracting new business. He will be promoting Datalicious’ cross-channel marketing analytics platform OptimaHub, and educating marketers on the importance and benefits of a data-led digital strategy.

This new appointment is effective immediately.
